FAQ

How much do you charge?

I am proud pf how far I have come in the last few years with my skills as a wedding photographer. I'm no longer considered a budget photography. HOWEVER, I do promise high quality photos and experience. While packages start around $2,900 and peak towards $3,900, the average initial investment is $3,400 which includes full day coverage, an album and digital files.

When will we get our pictures?

I pride myself on being efficient. I know how hard it is to wait to see your wedding photos so I try to have them back to clients within 3-4 weeks. I also order wedding albums a few weeks after a couple's wedding. They usually have their album in their hands about 3-6 months after they say "I do."

What do you wear?

I try hard not to stand out, but want to look well dressed and clean. I usually choose dark dresses or blouses with nice pants. I always try to have comfortable shoes that also look professional.

Do you travel?

I have only done a few weddings where I needed to travel, but I love it! I'm an explorer at heart so if anyone ever wants to book me for Paris or Hawaii then I'm all yours. I do charge extra for travels fees. If your wedding is over 50 miles away then I will charge for gas and possibly hotel. However, most of my weddings are local.

How many pictures do you take?

I have taken over 1,500 photos at a small wedding to over 3,000 for a large wedding. On average couples get between 100-200 edited photo back from me. Sometimes even more. I will mention that RAW files (unedited photos) are never given to clients.

What's your payment plan?

I know weddings can get expensive very quickly. That's why I have 3 payments for my clients. I have found this allows the to save up as each deadline approaches. I take the overall package cost + tax and divide it by 3. I require the first payment to book me and hold the date. Then couples pay the second payment 3 months before the wedding and the last payment is two weeks before.

I don't want to spend all day taking family photos. How do you handle that?

Family photos on a wedding day can get pretty chaotic. My goal is to take no more than 15 minutes on family photos. I talk with the couple well in advance about family photos. I also get a shot sheet with everyone's first and last names so I can call them out. All the bride and groom have to do is stand and smile. I'll move everyone else in and out of the shots.

What if I have to reschedule my wedding?

We try to make every effort as stress-free as possible. We work with our couples to help them find what works for them. We don't charge for rescheduling. This last year some of our couples had to reschedule because of Covid-19. We were able to accommodate everyone's new dates.

How do we book you?

I love meeting my couples first before agreeing to be their photographer. This makes sure we all are on the same page and will work well together. You can schedule a consult with me. if all goes well then I can provide with a contract and go ahead and book your engagement shoot.
